Sumit is an an Advisor at Mergen Compass, and is leading the ESG vertical, where he is envisioned to establish the firm as a key market leader in sustainability services across the MENA region. With over 15 years of experience in renewable energy, sustainability, business strategy, international expansion, and project management, Sumit is passionate about contributing to climate change mitigation and adaptation.
He is a GRI and TCFD certified sustainability professional, a PMP certified project manager, and a FMVA certified financial analyst. Prior to joining Mergen Compass, Sumit held leadership roles at AJMS, AMPLUS Solar, MOWAH, MAHINDRA SUSTEN, and GE3S, where he helped clients in ESG ratings, reporting, risk management, carbon advisory, and green building services.
